You can also learn more about our mission and vision, as well as how God brought all of us together in Rhode Island. Most importantly, we hope this website is a tool that can be effectively used to help anyone who might be curious about God and looking for a fresh start on their faith journey. My name is Joe and I am a life long Rhode Islander or as you described in your blog one who lives on one big rock. LOL You describe RI quite well spiritually speaking, the hearts of the people toward God are as hard as the ground. But truly it stems from so many churches and christian individuals misrepresenting Christ that the people have closed themselves off to the church. Its not that they have no interest in knowing the God who IS, its that they can't find anyone who knows Him as He truly wants to be known. Many here long to know God but are tired of oppressive and intrusive religion. I guess it could be summed up this way...."Show me who Jesus is, teach me how to love Him as He desires to be loved and cause a burning in my heart for the things of God. Don't be goofy or act nutty and I'm with you!"
Simply stated Jerry you are in Rhode Island and if you can discover a way to break up this rocky soil you will find, "these bones can still live."
Be real, be honest and represent Christ truly.

Hey Jerry,
I really liked Joe's comments above. I can tell he's one of those guys that get it. I liked the way he described the thinking of the people up there. People who are still searching and asking the questions. I know no one who is better at "showing them who Jesus is and teaching them how to love Him..." than you are! You will be real, honesst and represent Christ truly, because that's who you are.
I am praying for you and your family as the launch date approaches. It'll be great.
